In May of 2020, the AccuLine Team partnered with Tri-State Trenchless to successfully complete a 72″ tunnel in Mobile, Alabama. This crucial tunnel was crossing the main access road to a Hospital in Mobile. Due to what some would consider “unboreable” ground conditions, the team made the decision to run 24/7 operations. This project also called for utilizing untraditional methods paired with a BMTA, which was crucial to the completion of the crossing. Early on Friday morning after a total 60 hours, the tunnel successfully breached into the exit pit. This tunnel showed how determination, and specialized knowledge will prevail even over the toughest projects.
